Artist statment

Images of a world that is not easily perceived and appreciated, of the minuscule and obsessive details of natural organisms is a constant in my work.I have been involved in the environmental and social movements in Venezuela, my country of origin, for more that 12 years and that comes across my artwork.

The recent projects I have been working on, open the spectrum to a more human scale understanding us as part of the landscape, merging in a camouflage of natural and artificial, human and animal. Some called it environmental art, my work is influenced by land art, using photography as the main medium and them transforming these stills into installations or tri-dimensional works that can reach to the public and make them re-live the experience.
